Spring in Healesville

Hi again...

Spring in the Valley  - that’s the Yarra Valley northeast of Melbourne - can be warm one minute and pretty dam cold the next. We’re it's a  ‘next’ moment today. It has been the most variable - yet overall - the coldest winter we’ve experienced since we moved here 6 years ago.

And still - because we're semi rural - the valley seems to burst into bloom all at once. Old fashioned gardens where they haven't yet caught up with minimalism; the acres of commercial fruit trees everywhere; and of course the escapees - wild plums and cherries everywhere. Not to mention every valley and hillside festooned in golden wattle.

So yesterday I went out with my trusty iPhone to take in some of the beauty we are blessed with here.

These photos I took in a street 5 minutes walk from our house. It’s wildly magnolia blossom time – and oh my – what a sight they are right now…

And camellias... hedges of them!

I'll keep you up to date with others as they appear...

What fun!
